As this is the first featured member spotlight and I already had the necessary bio and content I decided to post a bit about myself. I look forward to selecting a new member for our next featured spotlight. This is the format I will be requiring to feature each member. Photos of yourself, your vehicle, your hobbies, pets, family, etc.

I was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and I grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I moved to Arizona when I turned 18 and have been living in the Phoenix Metro area ever since. I have been adventuring since early high school. I am an avid mountain biker, enduro rider, SUP expeditioner, ultralight backpacker, overlander, nature photographer, and videographer. I have backpacked and skiffed a few hundred miles of the Amazon Basin of Brazil. I’ve spent a great deal of time backpacking Central America. I’ve overlanded a 13,000 mile, 9-month trip around North America in my former 2012 Jeep JK.

I currently reside in Carefree, Arizona and spend my winters adventuring the desert southwest. I am more recently spending my summers traversing western USA either in my Subaru, my Ram 1500 Rebel, or in my Sprinter RV.

I’ve been wanting to officially launch the 4XPEDITION member portal since 2012. I launched my YouTube channel in 2013 but didn’t dive into it seriously until the winter of 2019.

I have one son named Collin who just turned 21 years old. He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has embraced the love of nature and adventure and has his own Subaru Outback and Rooftop Tent.

I fell in love with outdoor adventure by watching my step-brother John adventure when I was young. John took truly epic adventures and upon his return would share a slide show of his photos accompanied by his own live acoustic guitar playing. It set me on a course of a life of adventure and a true love of nature.
