How long does it take to receive my welcome kit?
Domestic memberships can take up to 14 days to receive your kit. International can take as much as 28 days.
What do I do if there is something wrong with my welcome kit?
Please reach out to customer service and indicate the issue. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
How do I apply my vehicle badges?
Appropriate application of your numbered vehicle badges is an important step to avoid loss. You must first thouroughly clean and dry the area. The area you should select should not contain nicks, dust, scratches, or contours in the body. Flat, smooth surfaces are the best for application. It is best to apply the 3M adhesive to the badge first and then to the vehicle. You only get one chance to put them on straight so take your time and measure. Once they are applied, the adhesive can not be easily removed and reused. Apply the badge adhesive in warm temperatures as the adhesive will adhere to the vehicle and badge better. Let it sit in the sun following the application to help it bond. If you need to remove the badges for any reason, the adhesive should not damage your vehicle but there is no guarantee of this to be the case. If you remove the badge and need new adhesive, you can order a second set from 4XPEDITION.com. In the event your badge falls off your vehicle, we will not be able to replace it easily as the badges are numbered. Please take care in application to reduce the risk of loss.
What happens if I lose a numbered badge?
We currently do not have a replacement process. So, loss is not covered by Team 4X or 4XPEDITION. We may in the future establish a replacement process and if we do, we will announce it and at that time, you will be able to purchase an engraved numbered replacement.
If I cancel membership, do I keep my member number?
Yes. Your member number will be your number indefinitely. If you return to memership at a later date, you will use the same account to reactivate.
Why do international memberships cost more?
The welcome kits are shipped in a large box and international shipping prices are more than double the cost of domestic shipping. Because so, international memberships require a shipping cost be added to the order.
Can I put my membership on hold?
We currently do not offer account holds. When you purchase your annual membership, your account will be active until your one-year anniversary and auto renew on that date unless you change your account settings.
Can I cancel my membership early?
You may cancel your membership early however, we do not offer refunds at this time.
I have a business and would like to partner with 4X. How do I do that?
We welcome members to apply for partnership with Team 4X. We consider all kinds of businesses but mostly select partnerships that align with our content and services. If you are interested in partnering, please complete the contact form on our Partner Page.
How can I collaborate with 4X with my YouTube Channel or Media Outlet?
We are always seeking collaboration opportunities with like-minded individuals and organizations. To collaborate, please complete the form on our Partnership Page.
I would like to be a Chapter Team Leader. How do I go about doing so?
We will be offering leadership training courses and will open opportunities to be a Team 4X chapter leader soon. If you are interested in this process and opportunity, please complete the contact form on the Customer Service page.
Can I advertise on 4XPEDITION.com and in the Team 4X Portal?
Yes. We invite you to inquire about advertising on this website. We do charge for advertising spots. Please inquire with us on our Partner Page.
Why do some events cost extra money even if I am a member?
The membership cost includes the welcome kit, access to the member portal and community forum, entry into giveaways and sweepstakes, discount offers, online Zoom calls and more. On location events cost money to put on and the cost includes planning and organizing on your behalf and often includes swag like T-shirts, patches, stickers, and partner gear giveaways. Only members are allowed to participate in these exclusive events.
How can I become a featured member in the Member Spotlight?
We randomly select individuals to highlight and with their permission and cooperation are able to feature them with their vehicle. If you would like to be considered for Spotlight, please complete the form on the Customer Service page.
How do I submit ideas for the Member Portal?
We would love to hear your ideas for ways we can improve and expand the member portal. To submit your ideas, please visit the Suggestion Box page.
My Partner Discount Code isn't working. What do I do?
Sometimes discount codes we post on the Member Discounts page stop working. Please let us know so we can resolve the issue quickly. Your notification helps everyone on the portal. Complete the form on the Customer Service page.
Can I get credit for my friends and family joining Team 4X?
Yes. We offer a referral program for you to get credit for your referrals. The referral program MAY give you extra entries into our Sweepstakes or even (sometimes when we make it available) give you discounts on your next year’s membership. Please visit the Refer a Friend page to obtain your referral link. It will be located in the green rectangle on the page. Copy that link and share it with your friends by email, text, or on social media.
Does Team 4X sponsor member's pursuits?
Yes. We have limited funds for sponsorship and so we are very selective as to who and what we sponsor. However, we do sponsor member’s pursuits from time to time. Looking for race sponsorship, team sponsorship, solo adventure sponsorship, or other kinds of pursuits? Let us know. We will consider any opportunity that is mutually beneficial. I want to upgrade my vehicle. Can I get member help?
Yes. We have not arranged our Wrenching events but we do plan to host them. In the meantime, we encourage you to post in the Community Forum a need for assistance. Some members are pretty handy with a wrench and can help install parts or repair vehicles. And, if you are on the road, be sure to post your issue. There is a good possibility that as the portal membership grows, there may be someone in your area who can help out in some way.
What is the best way to connect with other members?
The best way is to engage in conversation within the Community Forum. It is here members are able to say hello and make connections with people that may live nearby. Though this is a closed membership system, please take caution before disclosing your location. Be sure you know the individual well enough to connect.
