MEMBER BIO:

I was born in the City of Chicago in 1969. Up until I was 18, I didn’t see much else than concrete and traffic.

I was shipped off to Marine Corps Boot Camp right after highschool graduation and went to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California. It was there during training in the Mountains of Camp Pendleton that I felt “centered”, the Mountains really spoke to me.

After I was discharged from active duty I returned to Chicago and made my living as a Night Club Bouncer and Bodyguard, which seemed to be the thing to do when you’re a big guy with expertise in the Martial Arts.

It was during that time that I became a Professional Wrestler with Windy City Wrestling which in 1990 was one of the largest independent Wrestling Promotions organizations. I worked there in the Midwest area bouncing, wrestling, training, and fighting until 1995 when I became a full-time Fire Fighter in a large suburb on the northwest side of Chicago. I spent 15 years there until an on duty injury forced me out of the profession.

Having to reinvent myself once again, I started college at the age of 40 studying for a degree in Respiratory Therapy. While attending college, I took an interest in acting. I told my Wife Kim that I wanted to try acting in television and movies. She completely supported me in that endeavor eventhough people in the industry told me I was too old and I’d never book any any work.

Fortunately, I have a goofy face and for whatever reason I make people nervous so I began to book speaking roles playing villains in TV shows. to my fortune, I booked roles on Mob Doctor, Chicago Fire, APB, and Crisis as well as several feature films including Parts Per Billion and Spike Lee’s “Chi-raq”.

Landing these roles lead me to write and produce my own film “The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre” which was filmed on location in New Mexico in 2019. I was so taken at the time by the beauty of the town of Angel Fire, New Mexico, that I wound up purchasing land there and hope to build on the property soon.

There’s nothing like the Mountains to center the Spirit.

My favorite poem is called Meditation by by Chief Tecumseh. I draw inspiration from it and try to live my life by it.

When I’m not working, writing scripts, or acting, I keep busy training Martial Arts–mostly Muay Thai–these days. I’ve trained in Jiu Jitsu, Combat Wrestling, Japanese Full Contact Bare Knuckle Karate, and Filipino Kali. I’ve been training in Martial Arts for almost 40 years and I love the Martial Culture. I made several trips to Japan and trained there as well.

I also enjoy weight lifting, collecting fire arms, and have a large collection of classic horror movie memorabilia, much to the consternation of my wife though we have a cool house come Haloween.

Most of all I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids (25, 11, and 9 years old respectively). There’s nothing like firing up the Three Stooges and a bunch of Looney Toons Cartoons with the kids. I guess I am a little kid in a 53-year-old body.
