As a Founding Member, we need your commitment to participate.

Now that we have completed our first full year of TEAM 4X (for many of the original Founding Member sign-ups), I thought it would be an ideal time to talk about the importance of member involvement.

Last week, we revised the TEAM 4X Membership structure and also introduced a new membership program called 4XPEDITION Community. The difference between the two is fairly significant. So, first, I would like to explain each.

TEAM 4X Members currently have an opportunity (at sign up) to be labeled Founding Members for life. This grants all TEAM 4X Members with a member number of 100 and below special benefits over TEAM 4X Members with a number 101 and greater.

TEAM 4X Members are granted a lot of benefits over our new 4XPEDITION Community members.

So, what do TEAM 4X Members get?

Each TEAM 4X Member receives a complete Member Welcome Kit containing an official member number, brushed nickel emblem, adhesive patch for the emblem, a team cap, team t-shirt, team stickers, a patch, a certificate of authenticity, and other small items.

TEAM 4X Members also qualify for Monthly Gear Giveaways, Special team pricing on partner products and services, access to TEAM only events and workshops, TEAM 4X Member’s Only Zoom calls, and other features. And, as with our standard member program, TEAM 4X Members have complete access to the entire online Adventure Portal including the Community Forum and Zoom Camp. As a Founding Member, TEAM 4X members also are granted consideration in the shaping and direction of the community, events, and features as a steering committee.

4XPEDITION Community Members receive access to the online Adventure Portal and Forum. Community Members have access to Zoom Camp, articles, behind the scenes videos, Community partner discounts, and can read all content throughout the Adventure Portal. Community Members do not receive a TEAM 4X Member number or the TEAM 4X Welcome Kit and do not have access to specific events, workshops and services dedicated to the TEAM 4X program.

The Importance of Founding Membership

As a Founding Member, we strongly encourage those with Founding Member status to actively participate in the 4XPEDITION Adventurer Community Forum, Zoom Camp calls, In-person events held in their area (if applicable), actively promoting TEAM 4X, displaying stickers and other branded items on vehicles, resharing TEAM 4X social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), and reaching out to connect with other members of the Adventure Portal (both TEAM 4X and 4X Community Members).

Additionally, we ask all Founding Members to actively participate in steering the Adventure Portal, making suggestions, offering assistance such as submitting articles that can be used and in other ways to lighten the load for the admin of the portal.

If you are a Founding Member and you would like to help in some way and you have particular skills that could be utilized to help make the program succeed in 2022, please, please, please reach out. And, if nothing else, please like and comment on the 4X Facebook posts, share them on your wall, post threads in the forum, comment on other’s posts, share your travels and rig mods, etc.

Lastly, if you are a member, your account is nearing renewal, and you intend to renew your membership, please login to your account and set your account to auto renew. If you wish not to have your card automatically charged, please login and renew your membership promptly.

Your financial commitment allows us to purchase giveaway items each month, continue to improve the community, and finally build out the mobile app for the Adventure Portal.
