2018 Ram 2500.
Right now it's mostly stock but I've added a Thuren fab. front leveling kit, Thuren Overland shocks, Airlift 5000 rear air bags and a Decked drawer system. This has been a great, comfortable platform that has a decent range.
Since that last trip, I've sold the roof top tent and went back to just ground tent for my solo adventures.
I love the decked system. My brother put one in his Frontier Pro 4X and added a RTT rack. I really think that system is a great system. I still have the Ram truck and am still considering doing a rack and decked system since I no longer have the slide-in camper. Are you going to get another RTT or do you have other plans?
For my solo trips, I plan on getting a gazelle tent or an OZtent and doing the cot thing. For the family adventures or super comfy solo trips, we've gone full travel trailer. Hopefully it arrives in time for Dan's NW Overland Nevada trip.
@desertbenny I am chatting with a gent from Australia named John (mentioned him in my bikepacking video) who is camping as we speak on the beach in Australia with an OzTent. Pretty nic set up and said that a squall came up and it stood no problem in the storm. John is pretty new to camping... just started getting out there. He plans to join the group. Hope so as he would be my first member from that country. Here is his setup.
Spent about a week in a borrowed oztent and I was sold. Great option for waterproof camping here in the soggy northwest.
@desertbenny my camp table is OzTent and it is bullet proof so to speak. Very durable.
