Hello Team 4X! Okay so if anyone has knowledge of my car, I'd appreciate the input. I own a '10 Outback 2.5 and I've been told and learned from internet research that I can fit a 16" wheel, specifically the ones I want are the rally bronze Sparco Terra's in a 16x7 at 18.8 pounds each. Has anyone heard of any issues fitting a 4th gen Outback with 16" wheels?

As far as tires I'm looking at the Falken WildPeak A/T Trail in a 215/70R16. That size should make the wheel and tire size approximately the same size as my current stock 17" wheels and tires. Anyone have any insight into those tires?

So I'm looking at those wheels and tires specifically because I should be able to have plenty of sidewall for protection and ability to air them down for any off-roading. And being about the same size as stock then I won't need to worry about speedometer changes. Also I'm hoping for some unsprung wheel weight savings to help save my axles.

Anyone have any insight for me about the wheels and tires? Thanks!

Keep Adventuring!

@matthew-blair I would think either your local Subaru dealer or a trusted tire shop would be able to tell you if these wheels would work for your car, but maybe you’ve already tried that route? You’re right, there appear to be folks out there on the Internet who have had luck installing 16” wheels, but there appears to be a potential issue of the inside of the wheel clearing the brake calipers.
