It's starting to smell a little bit like I might have to go to Las Vegas for work in June.. if that happens I'm driving because it's more fun than sitting on a plane.   It's two full (but not overly long) days each direction.

Being a work trip it's not the wildest of adventures but there's some fun to be had on the way there and back

@shovel First off, Howard Fox, Team 4X Member #16 lives in Henderson. Maybe reach out to him and connect. I love the Red Rocks area near LV. Also, a drive out to Nelson, NV ghost town is a cool trip. It is pretty bizzar. You will love it! Especially for photo ops.

Was in Texas, south of Dallas/FW for an event I will share later, but this is a littlew Video I put together of our little side trip down to Waco to check out the "Magnolia Market" that "Fixer Upper" 's Chip and Joanna Gaines have developed.

I'm sharpening my video creator skills by learning from my mentor Scott's creations!! Learning all the ups and down of stitching several clips together, file size uploading, audio..etc. Fun and creative process.

Finding the right balance between what quality you want, versus uploading time, was a lesson. I've done a few simple ones in the past, but more content, increase the process as you know!! give me some feedback!! here is link below.

Great video John!

I've used this tool a couple times in the past, not sure if you'll find it useful or not but it might be helpful in editing travel content to show your audience where they're joining you -

https://www.routegenerator.net/

It's $free dollars but they've got a tip cup if you end up liking it.

🤣 wild stuff,  my Las Vegas work trip didn't happen but now it looks like I'm driving to Kentucky... a bunch of other states.   Work trip in the big rig, and then as soon as I get home from that I turn around and do another 2000+ miles through Canada on a personal vacation.

Gonna have a tired butt from all that road time for sure!!

The trips are both 100% happening but the exact routes are not nailed down yet, it's looking like this - hey Scott I'll be close to your neighborhood!   But won't have time to head over & I'll be in a 70' long combination that doesn't like dirt roads..   🙁

Spokane to Phoenix in my personal vehicle,  Phoenix to.. lots of places in the work truck then fly back to Phoenix, then drive home,  couple days to rest then back in my personal vehicle to Canada.

I'd love to take my Mustang on this first leg down to Phoenix (and back up to Spokane) and I'm 99% sure it would do the trip without hassle but there's a lot riding on this trip so.. the 29 year old car might not be the best option.

I've been stuck in Kansas since Tuesday night...  can't say it's been real exciting as adventures go but usually on a business trip "exciting" is a bad thing.    When nothing at all unplanned happens that's a successful business trip.

It's been nice eating food I can't usually access and I'm looking forward to this business part of the trip being over,  flying "home" to Arizona and visiting friends and family there,  then driving home to Spokane at a more leisurely and scenic pace.

It's my job right now.. so to speak,  to loaf in this hotel room until Tuesday morning.

Mandatory loafing stinks!  🤣   I tried to do some video editing work just to make the time productive but I can't say inspiration's been hitting the way it should.

Can't wait till the 9th when I can start heading home... then go on the real adventure with my wife!

First part of the summer adventure is in the books!   That was the boring one, the work trip.     I got finished with work in Louisville KY on Friday around 4pm,   got on a plane and landed in Phoenix about 10pm, slept then visited friends around Phoenix until about 4pm Saturday & headed North.    Got to Hoover Rest Area (Utah) just South of SLC on Saturday night,  napped then continued North to Idaho, then Montana, then Idaho again and was home by about 9pm Sunday night.

Work all week in the office, then Friday we depart for Canada!

This is really an exciting trip time of the year. Look forward to seeing some of your Canada pix. I have always wanted to make a trip up to that area and visit Calgary, Jasper, and all of that. Hope soon.

We depart in a couple weeks to Bozeman (to get our wedge camper) and then will tool around MT, ID, WA, and OR. Can't wait! If you are around (and not traveling at the time) would love to visit with you live and in person. Have a great trip!

We'll be around!

As of right now both Stacey and I appear to have Covid - she's testing positive,  I'm certain I have it but I keep testing negative with the at-home quick tests.   But it should run its course well before you get here,  we will update you with when Stacey stops testing positive and we both are in the clear.    We're vaccinated and boosted so hopefully it's going to be history by the end of the weekend.

If you guys eat beef,  Ted's Montana Grill in downtown Bozeman serves a hell of a steak (actually.. that's the last steak I ever ate - didn't plan it that way but I incidentally decided to go vegetarian not long after that) - and their house uh.. appetizer?   of pickles is unusual but super good.    I want to go there again just for the dang pickles!

I'll be eager to check out your camper too!

I commented on another post here in the forum about our passing Spokane up on our road trip. Turns out, that in Libby is where I hurt my back. Then, for two days (in Troy over to Sand Point) my back started to really hurt. By the time we got to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho it was getting pretty severe so we decided to head to Portland area where my step-son Cameron lives. I was really quite bummed about that whole leg of the trip and all the rest of the trip. Sorry man. We will get up there again one of these days.
