We have a limited participation event scheduled for the end of March. It will be here in Arizona. It is our first but not our last and don't worry if you are not in Arizona. There will be other events in other states and countries as we grow. Anyway, if interested, you should complete the registration form before we fill up. Hello Ironwood National Monument TEAM 4X Event Participants!

Thank you for taking interest in our upcoming event! It should be a really fun time. Please review the below information. Also note that this event is rated a level D2 event. Be sure your physical fitness matches our qualifications by reviewing our guide.  https://4xpedition.com/excursions/difficulty-guide/

Site Limitations

There are no facilities, toilet, or water.
You must pack in/pack out, no waste on ground including human waste. Bring a camp toilet with a bag system to capture and take with you.
Bring enough water for each member of your group for two full days. There will be nowhere in the area to obtain water.

Gas your vehicle as close to the group camp as possible. There shouldn’t be any fuel concerns, but it is always a good idea to enter the wilderness with a full tank and even have a secondary tank.

By attending this event you acknowledge responsibility for the health and safety of your own registered participants.

Site Access:

There are two similarly named roads: Silverbell Rd and Silver Bell Rd. Be sure you access the correct one.

Our current group site is:

Silverbell Group Site: 32.473578, -111.497940 (on Silverbell Rd)
- via Red Rock/Sasco Road if coming from Phoenix/I-10 South (Santa Cruz River water crossing possible - see info on this further below).
- via Marana Rd if coming from Tucson/I-10 North (6000 Pound Weight Limit Bridge - GPS 32.4663105, -111.3388355)

Optional Camp Sites:

32.455848, -111.443788 (south of group site)
32.465536, -111.545565 (north of group site along Silver Bell Rd)
32.465238, -111.544367 (north of group site along Silver Bell Rd)

Coordinated Meet-up and drive in and out:
If anyone wishes to meet up with me on the pavement ahead of time, please reach out to coordinate that with me.

Weight Limits:
One of the access roads requires your vehicle'smaximum weight be less than 6,000 lb. Please be aware of this.

Water Crossing:
There may be one water crossing. Our location scout TEAM 4X member that is out there this week to scout out the trip said her Subaru Crosstrek made it across no problem. But, higher clearance is helpful.

Limited Cellular:

If we are unable to secure the first group camp on Friday, we will be at one of the other camps. Assuming we have cell coverage, we will inform ahead of time. If not, then we will leave a note at the first camp as to where we have landed.

Avoidance of areas:

Some areas are to be avoided due to Bighorn Sheep lambing. They will be noted. It does not say you CANNOT enter these areas but it says to avoid them. Please respect this notice.

Pets:

If anyone is bringing a dog, it must be on a leash at all times! BLM and National Monument Rules. My advice is to leave them home.

Other Communications:

Please note that this event is now fully booked. We had only 10 available spots as this is BLM land and they require permits for groups over 10. Thank you for your interest!
