My name is Luke Moussa and I live in Tucson, AZ where I work as a GIS consultant in environmental remediation. Some of my favorite things to do are building/woodworking, writing, hiking, and grilling. My current exploration vehicle is a 2017 Outback 3.6r and my project vehicle is a 1995 Toyota 4Runner. I'm excited to be part of Team 4X and look forward to getting to know everyone.
Yup, and jerky 🤠, I'm planning to do a batch this weekend.
For the grill I went with a Pit Boss that I got from Lowes on sale but last night I was eyeballing the Tragers at Costco. Somehow I managed to get to the register without the Trager or any electronics in the cart...just food...I'm quite proud of that 😆

@luke-moussa Nice to see another AZ Team 4X member. You mention one of your favorite things to do is writing. Prior to retiring in 2018, I was a technical writer/editor for a large semiconductor firm in the Phoenix-metro area. Any writing I do now is purely for fun (i.e., Blog and forums). I'm curious as to what type of writing to which you're referring. I live about an hour north of Tucson and hope we cross paths at some point in this adventure journey. 🙂
@debaru Likewise! An hour north of Tucson ain't too bad, I'm sure we will cross paths at some point 😀.
Same here on the current writing side of things. I'm just doing it for fun but I did get to publish some research with Kent State University. As cheesy as it sounds, I'm working on a cops and robbers story right now. I'm interested in exploring some other themes but for now this is fun to get started with.
@shovel the weird just gets weirder. Bone-dry all summer (no monsoons) and dry all winter, then it started up high yesterday and then touchdown today. I looked at my work computer and said, "you got this, right?" 😋
That snow was awesome, although that's why I left the east coast. After 40+ years of bad weather, I had enough! But I have to say I was as giddy as every other Arizonaian watching that stuff come down!
