Hey Members,
Just wanted to hop on and get some advice about a solar panel set up for the 4X Subaru! I was thinking about connecting a portable fridge! Do you think I could go with an inexpensive fridge for like 300$, or do you think it is worth it to spring for the Domestic CFX3 35 Powered cooler. I would love an ARB fridge freezer as I have seen at Overland Expo, but I am not quite sure if that would be the best option. I saw the Rockpal episode and I don't think I want that specific battery, I probably need something more powerful to withstand a fridge..
Thoughts?

Hi Collin! Personally, I think you could go less expensive on a fridge. I have seen several in use by overlanders that aren't name brand and they seem to work great. I would go with a standard vehicle battery and encase it. I saw an Outback with this set up at Expo a couple years ago.
This is an interesting video that talks about different ways to power your fridge in your vehicle.
