Greetings. Bob Ivins here from beautiful Linville NC. After spending 12 years living abroad our sailboat Hurryknot we dropped anchor here in Avery County NC. 17 years ago. I have been a fly fishing guide and outfitter for the last 10 years here in western NC. I am now retired and enjoy bikepacking and over overlanding in our 2017 Outback. Excited to be apart of the group. Would love to host a gathering here in the mountains of NC. The mountain are beautiful, the air clean and the water cold.

Welcome to the team Bob! I am delighted to have you here. And, I would love to come that way sometime and learn to fly fish from you. That has been on my list of to-dos for several years. Maybe we could create a beautiful adventure video for the channel, too. Also, I think it is really amazing that you spent 12 years on your boat. Would love to hear where you went. I was just talking to my friend Scott about that sort of thing. He wants to buy a Trauler and live on it along the west coast from Alaska down to Mexico. (Scott made a cameo on my latest video of 5Spot - Arizona small towns... he was the guy galloping on the horse.)  That a Steelhead in that photo? Maybe we can line up me coming that way, do an east coast meet up with some members and do a fly fishing course.

Welcome Bob! I used to frequent the WNC area for school and am itching to get back to that area. Love the Smokey’s!
