I had a wonderful time with an amazing group of people during the first 4XPEDITION event, which took place on March 26-28, 2021 at the Ironwood Forest National Monument in Arizona.

We enjoyed a visit with an amazing guest speaker, Tom Hannagan, the President of Friends of Ironwood Forest, who joined us on Saturday afternoon. He provided us with this gem:

Administrivia - The red tape and typical bureaucracy encountered by his organization when working with federal and local agencies.

The following are some other delightful quotes that arose from the time we all spent around the campfire under the Mineral Moon Saturday evening:

Go Bublé - Shared by @blacklabelgarageyt when describing an amazing encounter he and his father had with the singer Michael Bublé. To “Go Bublé” on someone is to not be afraid to approach and strike up a conversation, among other things. You’ll have to talk to Matt to get the entire amazing story on what went down during that encounter.

The Upstroke is Where the Honey is - Shared by the wonderful girlfriend of @luke-moussa, Megan, when describing how Honey Bees dance to their hive to show where to find food. To me, this quote could be used to describe how our lives can be a wonderful dance showing others how to thrive and survive.

McDonaldization - Shared by Megan when talking about how Acupuncturists are jumping on the Medicare Bandwagon.

Bumpass, VA - Must be crowded there - A group of us took a drive out into the monument to find an old historic cemetery not far from the original mining town of Silverbell. We were talking about interesting names of towns, when Megan mentioned Bumpass, VA. Scott's brother-in-law, Eric, immediately whipped out a gem response by saying: “Must be crowded there”.
